2023 OSCA Board Candidate Recruitment
Dear Oregon School Counselors,
You are invited to serve on the OSCA Board of Directors and continue the work of engaging and supporting our students by helping grow our supportive network and develop programs and professional development that focus on equitable school counseling best practices. Every year, three (3) OSCA governing board positions are open for election. Each position is a three (3) year term. This term cycle begins with the 2023-24 school year and ends at the conclusion of the 2025-26 school year.
Please complete the following application - 2023 OSCA Board Application - by March 17, 2023. This information will be used in the creation of the forthcoming OSCA 2023 Elections Ballot.
Responsibilities include:
- Attend all board meetings, in-person or virtually, 4 times a year with the first meeting usually in August (No more than one missed per year).
- Potential opportunity to attend Leadership Development Institute – July 13 & 14 in Atlanta, GA (Expenses partially covered.)
- Potential opportunity to attend the ASCA Conference – July 15-18 in Atlanta, GA (Expenses partially covered.)
- Support all aspects of board operations in fulfilling the vision and mission of OSCA.
- Planning, attending, and facilitating the annual OSCA Conference – (October 27, 2023)
